Escape All These Things

Lately I've been thinking about how God always provides a way of escape to those who keep their eyes on Him and are a blessing unto Him. The bible says He will not leave us or forsake us if we focus on Him and watch.

As I watch the news, it is quite obvious that the time is at hand. I encourage you to watch and pray and be ready for His Return.

"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man." Luke 21:36

You've got to watch this video of Paige Strackman singing on TBN. She is a member of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and has an amazing voice!

Here's another great singer - Jason Crabb. Be inspired by him. Don't worry about your situation right now, but keep your eyes on Jesus and keep praying for His Guidance!

Also, this is a video that you should not miss. It's Evil Kneval accepting Jesus at the Crystal Cathedral, Robert Schuller's church in California. He died shortly after and it's profound!

Forever Jones

I had the privilege to watch TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network) a few nights ago and was happy to see Melinda Doolittle (former American Idol star). I really wanted Melinda to win American Idol, and knew from her first audition that she would be in the top group of contestants. I am glad that Melinda is following her higher calling in God. She has done a lot to inspire and help others.

There was another group featured on TBN, a family of singers and musicians named Forever Jones. The group consists of the husband, the wife and their 5 kids. Everyone is clearly gifted by God in their musical talents and abilities.

This blog has uplifting Christian music. In particular, Darlene Zschech from the Australia Hillsong Church has numerous songs. You will probably recognize her song "Shout to the Lord."

Of course, Kirk Franklin is included in this music list. He is so talented and truly is in God's Favor.

If you are feeling a little blue or simply need to feel inspired, please listen to the music on this blog and be sure to visit the websites linked above.

Abiding

I am abiding in God today. He is my Rock. He is my Fortress. I will sit under His Wings today and rest. I will drink in His Love and Grace. I do not need to worry when I am alone, for He is with me all of the time. My thoughts are continually Praising Him. He shows me the way through all that I encounter.

I am abiding this day so that I will not fail. God will strengthen me to get through all that concerns me this day. He will allow me to grow and be creative this day. He is sufficient. I will abide in His Branches.

No More Sense of Urgency

Did you know that we're in the end times? Take a look around and you probably notice that things are speeding up, people are more and more detached, and there's no sense of urgency to help others -- right? It seems that "self" is more important to most people than anything else. It's almost as if others are saying "It's all about me!"

If you feel frightened or nervous about your future and uncertain where your life is going, don't wait any longer -- talk to God and give your life to Jesus because He is the ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN! Read these verses from the New King James Version Bible:

1 John 5:11 (KJV)
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

John 3:16–18 (KJV)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He is waiting for you to ask Him to reveal Himself to you! Why, because He loves you!

It is difficult to realize and believe that God really loves you. I can understand that, especially if you never really had a "father" figure in your life. However, the more you refer to God as "Father in Heaven," the easier it will be to believe that He really does love you.

Do you think you are an accident? No! You were created for a special purpose in God's Kingdom. Reach for you higher calling in Christ, before it's too late. Time is running out - don't wait.

Blessing be upon you that you keep the faith and believe on the Lord Jesus.

Take Courage and Be Of Good Cheer

Hello and thank you for stopping by. Are you worrying again? Stop it!

I know it's difficult right now with the crazy economy and the upset in the world. Do not worry, God will help you. Ask Jesus to be by your side and He will! Do not give up at this time, you must take courage and give it all to the Lord. He will take your upset and give you peace.

Be of good cheer and know that He is watching over you and you are in His Favor! Stand in His presence and know that God is Good and Jesus is Lord!

He is coming back very soon, be ready! Even though you are going through a problem right now, just step back and stop lamenting over it. Whatever you focus on expands! Shout Grace to your problem and start thanking God. Watch Him work it out for you.

It's going to get better - you will see.

Thank you Jesus for taking my problems and worries from me. You died for my sins and rose again. You sit with God in the Throne Room and one day soon you will return with your angels to take us home unto You. Thank you for always being there for me. God and Wool

Working with wool helps me to feel connected to God. I've often thought about the profoundness of wool. It's not only one of the most perfect fibers to work with, but it's also warm and protects us from the elements.

Whether you knit, crochet, felt, spin, weave, make rugs, or sew, just the act of working with wool is calming. It brings a sense of connectedness to God. Working with wool can also help to bring you toward healing and wholeness. It also gives you a sense of accomplishment that you made something that has a purpose. We have been compared to sheep in the Bible. Maybe God wants us to realize that He created us with a purpose too.

As a knitter, I feel it is a privilege to work with wool and I thank God that I learned how to knit, especially since it is the reason why I quit smoking cigarettes just about 25 years ago! Stay Inspired and Have a Happy New Year!

Many Tribulations

Lately I've been thinking about why we go through frustrating moments and stressful situations. Why do we think that life is always cotton candy and bubblegum? Even though we sometimes suffer, God is with us when we have faith and rely on Him. Jesus walks with us when we are in pain and suffer from toxic thinking. He always strengthens our souls and comes through just at the perfect time. Keep the faith and know that you will enter His Kingdom. If you are going through a tough time, read Acts 14:21

21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, 22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Those of us who know Christ as our Lord and Saviour will be snatched away and experience Eternal Life in His Kingdom.

Continue in the faith.

Favorite Scripture Cards

It's a great idea to take eight or ten index cards and write down your favorite scriptures. Keep the cards in your purse or work desk. Then, when you need a little comfort, you can take them out and read them over. Especially at work, when you are dealing with a toxic person or stressful moment. Eventually, you will begin to memorize your scriptures.

Don't be stressed; be blessed.

Awareness - Acceptance - Action

It's easy:

Become aware of Jesus and that He is God's Son (read the bible);
Accept that you are a sinner and ask Him to save you (Read John 3:16)
Repent, do a pivot, and take the necessary action to follow Him!

Hearing God

My sister gave me a great devotional book back in 1988, titled Hearing God, by Lory Basham Jones. Although it's out of print, I still read it. Each day seems to be exactly what you need to hear.

Here is today's devotional for January 17th:

Responsibility

By your endurance you will gain your lives (Luke 21:19).

Lord, I am so slow to learn full control over my mind and emotions, over my thought life. Yet, I thank You for what You have already worked in my soul.

Look up, lift your head, for your full redemption of soul draws near. As you abide in Me, practice My presence and live out My Word, you fashion a thicker shield of faith. So be quick to learn! For every worry or impatience, care or fear that enters your mind, apply My cleansers of praise, love and trust immediately. Bring into captivity every thought, for your adversary chooses to rule first in the mind and emotions. Let the mind of Christ rule in you. Cast down every thought which creates fear and doubt. Do not strive. Do not rush. In your patience, you will possess your soul; and your heart will never fail for fear. (Read II Corinthians 10:4-5.)

If you are in despair or have been in a bad situation for too long, it's time to make a positive change in your life. If you are AWARE of your situation, that's the first step. The next is ACCEPTANCE, where the healing can begin. Finally, begin to take ACTION. Move away from your problem and do a pivot. Repent! You will feel relief and start to feel free.

Get yourself a Bible and start reading God's Word. Only He can help you. Stop looking outside of yourself for the answers. You know your answer is within you. Accept the Lord into your life and do it as soon as possible. Right now - before it's too late!

God's Favor Upon Your Life

You are here for a reason. Do you want to have a purpose in your life and to make a difference? Do you think it's finally time to experience joy in your life and to let go of old toxic thoughts that have held you back from living a fulfilling life? You can have a better life, but you must demonstrate a change of heart and ask the Lord to have favor upon you. You can do this only if you believe and have faith.

Really, what are you waiting for? The world is getting stranger by the minute, but you can make a switch in your thinking. You can start your new life now and be set free!

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:36:36 (NIV)

If you want to know how to obtain God's favor, or if you keep hearing His "Still Small Voice" or feel a tugging in your heart calling you to Him, there are many resources that are available to help you to turn to God.

Begin today by asking God to have favor upon your life. If you do, you will be amazed at the outcome, because He will answer your prayers and you will know when He does. Sometimes His answers are subtle and other times they're quite obvious (like getting hit over the head with a 2x4), but, really, how will you ever know if He answers your prayers if you don't ask?

Experience His Blessings and Favor right now because He loves you and created you as His own. Believe that you are in His Favor and find inner joy, peace, and purpose. He can set you free! Don't wait any longer. Say this:
